DIRECTIONS TO AGUA MILPA
Northwest End at the Dam
There are 3 roads to the Westside of Agua Milpa. One to Colorado de la Mora
and another at the southeast end of the Reservoir. Both are rough and really fun,
with 4-wheel drive recommended for the road to Mora. The road to the southeast end comes
to the most outrageous car ferry you have ever seen. The third is where the yomexico camp is located. At the 'dam' end………
Appropriately enough.
From Centro Tepic take Avenue Insurgentes (which becomes Avenue Tecnoliogico) towards Gudalajara a couple of K past Hotel Ne-Kie.
A very large sign will then direct you to turn left (at the fountain)
to Agua Milpa.
Follow this very good paved road with just one turn to the right on another paved road at the only stop sign on the route. OR:
Take Avenue Mexico past the Plaza follow the signs to Bellavista. The road will fork; straight ahead to Bellavista, curving down and to your right to Agua Milpa.
It is only about 60K so just drive ‘till you cannot go any farther without gills.
 From Compostela turn right on the 4 lane Libramiento at the edge of Tepic. When it ends, go left while quickly moving to your right for a right turn at the fountain. Follow this until you would need to be an Olympic class swimmer to continue.
From San Blas simply stay on the 4-lane Libramiento all the way around Tepic following the directions above until you would need scuba gear to find me.
Park and call for a water taxi (the better way). Tell ‘em you want to go to where the ‘loco gringo’ is building the house boat (about 4K). They will demand 200 pesos.
Refuse to pay more than 100 pesos. Good Luck……..
There are Hotels, nice ones, but they want 500 pesos………
Restaurants still serve a huge Bass dinner for 30 pesos………
