Only Mexican town I have ever found where the traffic stops for pedestrians. But, don’t count on it.Gateway to Copper Canyon. You will again pick up Highway 45 here to Durango. The highway from Chihuahua to Parral is perfect but from Parral to Durango it is a little skinny. I suppose you must be a ‘good’ driver to complete this leg. Please see Driving in Mexico. 
Yo! I have decided that if you are driving an 85 ft motor castle, towing an SUV, 2 personal watercraft and a couple of motor bikes; you might not want to go this way. Just take the libre or cuota to Durango. Copper Canyon Link RODEO... Nice little country town.  LAKE PARK STOP OVER...KM 25 DURANGO I have never stopped except for gas and food. There is a brand new bypass that avoids the city completely. Follow the signs to Mazatlan on Highway 40. MAP LINK |
