San Blas Real Estate Company A Division of 21nextcentury.com Real Estate For Sale, Rent & Lease (001) 505-740-1638 yomexico.com yomexico@gmail.com “The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left behind by those who got there first.” Yes. Of course you can buy Real Estate in Mexico. BUT. Most people wish to purchase on or near the Beach and Mexico’s Constitution says no foreigner may own within 30K of the coast(s). Buying land in Central Mexico is pretty much the same as the US. But, we would recommend you consult with an attorney. And this situation demands a Mexican Constitutional change. What if the US were to even suggest a Federal Law stating that no Mexican could own within 30 miles of the coast or the border? Imagine the uproar. But then, you cannot blame the Mexicanos too very much. Look how many times the US has invaded. And, we stole the entire Southwest. In the meantime there are several options:
2. You may now form a Mexican Corporation that can be 100% foreign owned. This Corporation may legally do most anything a Mexican citizen can do. Expensive, complicated and time consuming. But, the way I would recommend. 3. Marry a Mexican. Seems a little on the side of “overboard.” 4. Have a Mexican friend sign the deed for you. Very scary. We have many properties we will show you, from Million Dollar Hotels to small, vacant building sites. YO! It is my opinion that every small Mexican village should have at least one ‘token’ Gringo Family. It's ironic that Americans retire to Mexico for the same reason illegal immigrants cross our border — improved quality of life. But keep that backwater image alive and well. It is to the advantage of those of us already here that retiring in Mexico be kept the ‘baby boomers’ secret. Do you have a variable rate mortgage on your home? Immediately switch to a fixed rate mortgage. Do it today! 21nextcentury.com |
